I have no real memories of him, I’m only 18. I don’t think anyone pays him to put Racing with Jesus on his hood, I think he supports the organization and chooses to not take on any other sponsors. That’s why he has little money and only remains in NASCAR because other (Harvick, etc) support him and his cause.
I don’t have any Morgan Shepherd memories. I do have some Captain Morgan memories like the time I went running naked thru my neighbors yard & their dog……I mean, I guess I don’t have any Capt. Morgan memories either.
I don’t really have memories of him. No one has to pay him to put Jesus on his hood. He is just hanging around doing what he loves, and at his age, he isn’t gonna draw too many new sponsors. His is the best endorsement going.
I met him once at an early Brickyard 400. He seemed like a pretty nice guy. He was kinda bummed because he didn’t make the show that year, but he still acknowledged his fans. To me, his hair is very memorable.

Plus, did anyone notice the fact that his name is Shepherd, and his sponsor is Racing with Jesus!? (Get it?) Is that a cool coincidence or what?!?!?!
I liked watching Morgan in the ’92 Daytona 500 (I was born after ’92, but I received a tape from my grandma) but I LOVED who won the race. Good Ol’ Davey Allison!!!!! One of my favorite drivers of all time. (Both Morgan AND Davey)
Well, with Jesus on his hood we know where he went. Morgan Shephard? You gotta admire a guy who runs every week and is a single car team with Jesus on the hood. RIP Morgan
