Carl Edwards wins UAW-Dodge 400 at Las Vegas

Carl Edwards wins UAW-Dodge 400 at Las Vegas in a two lap dash to the finish line after NASCAR stopped the race for about 18 minutes to clean the track after a wreck that wiped out contenders Matt Kenseth and Jeff Gordon, Edwards pulled away from Dale Earnhardt, Jr. to win by .504 seconds.

The victory gave Carl Edwards the series points lead for the first time in his career, by 21 points over Las Vegas pole-sitter Kyle Bush, NASCAR’s new darling and by 41 over Ryan Newman who finished 14th.   However,  NASCAR found an “issue” with the 99 car in post-race inspection.  I will keep you updated on this as more news is released.
