Tony Stewart wins the Nascar Nextel Cup Championship
Tony Stewart ended the Ford 400 in 15th place which was enough to clinch first place in the Nascar Nextel Cup Championship. Greg Biffle and Carl Edwards tied for second, Greg Biffle won the tiebreaker (he won more races this season) and took second place. Carl Edwards won third. Mark Martin came in fourth. Jimmie Johnson came into the race in second placed and crashed in lap 146 which took him down to fifth place.
Greg Biffle won the Ford 400, the closing race of the 2005 season in Homestead, FL for the second year in a row. It came down to the wire with Greg Biffle and Mark Martin racing to the finish line and Greg Biffle won it by a nose.
