I wonder what’s going on there? I was watching Sports Center this morning and apparently Jr’s uncle (Tony Eury, Sr) blasted him after the race for wrecking Michael. I guess some people think there is something personal going on there…hmmmmm….
Jr has definitely been having a lot of pit crew problems. It was supposed to be all over with this week after replacing his crew chief but with the wreck I guess we will have to wait to find out.

WOW, what a fantastic finish! 5 laps to go on the restart, Bobby Labonte in the lead trying to win for the first time since Homestead in Nov 2003. Jimmy Johnson on fresh tires moves up to second with 3 to go. Labonte holds him off with 2 to go. Jimmy Johnson drives to the outside and wins by 2/10ths of a second. Needless to say, while I am happy for Jimmy Johnson, I feel bad for Bobby Labonte (my favorite driver). I really wish he had won!
Jeez, were there enough cautions in this race? Seems like every time they got going good there was another crash. What a crazy race!
OK, this week I am going to be making some changes and updates to the site, Hopefully it will be a lot more interesting when I finish. I will also be updating a lot more often, not just with race news but driver news and gossip…which is what Racing Men is supposed to be all about.
So, that’s it for now…everyone have a Safe and Happy Memorial Day Weekend.

Kasey Kahne wins his first race!! With 10 laps left they came out of a caution, Tony Stewart got a run on Kasey Kahne but Kasey held him off and pulled ahead! Tony Stewart had to fend off Ryan Newman for second but Ryan pulled off third.
Kahne’s crew was awesome this race, he didn’t lose any positions during his pit stops. If anyone deserved it tonight, they surely do!
After the race Tony Stewart came running out on the track to personally congratulate Kasey. He said he was happy to have the honor of being the man Kasey had to fight off to get his first win!
The miracle of the race, Kevin Harvick had trouble early on and went a lap down. On the last caution he got the Lucky Dog pass and was back on the lead lap. Kevin Harvick ended up finishing fifth…
All in all a great race!

After a HUGE wreck in lap 132 25 cars were involved. Ryan Newman, Dave Blaney, Scott Riggs, Ricky Rudd, Kasey Kahne, Rusty Wallace, Mark Martin, Mike Bliss, Sterling Marlin, Bobby Labonte, Kyle Busch, Bobby Hamilton Jr., Jeff Green, Boris Said, Scott Wimmer, Brian Vickers, Matt Kenseth, Jason Leffler, Joe Nemechek, Mike Skinner, Casey Mears, Carl Edwards, Johnny Sauter and Kerry Earnhardt were all involved.
Bobby Labonte manages to remain on the lead lap which is a good thing considering all the bad luck he’s had lately!
Caution with 3 to go after some exciting racing between Jeff Gordon, Michael Waltrip, Kevin Harvick and Jami McMurray for the lead. Jimmie Johnson, Dale Earnhardt Jr., Martin Truex Jr., Greg Biffle, Kevin Harvick and Travis Kvapil all get some damage.
Race restarts with 2 laps to go Jeff Gordon in the lead. Slow restart Tony Stewart and Michael Waltrip team up and pull in behind Jeff Gordon but he holds them off to win the Arron’s 499. Tony Stewart comes in second and Michael Waltrip third.
